I feel the same way with affiliate.

Every time I try and get peeps to watch my streams when I go live, I get no traction, and the only viewer is me.

On lucky days, I get past 1 viewer, but little to no chatter.

It's become a glass ceiling to me, further enforced by every email after streams being "You've improved!", even on a low viewership night with a mostly dead chat. Still doing it for the fun of it though.

I only just started streaming, going decently, but we'll see how things go. I've heard uploading clips to tiktok and yt shorts can suddenly cause a spike. What you are streaming and when can affect it. A lot goes into growing a stream. But all just what I've heard, since I'm only just starting out.

So, in my personal and honest opinion, sometimes there *is* too much chaos, which can be overwhelming and overstimulating to viewers. It sometimes is too much for me and you know how nutty I get!

What's interesting is I've been stuck in "30 viewer purgatory" almost since I started streaming regularly a few years ago. Started small, got to around a 30 average about a year in and plateaued

I started over 7 years ago, and I still only get about an average of 1 maybe 2 (if im lucky) viewers per stream 😅. 90% of the people that chat are bots trying to have me commission them

Growth on Twitch has changed a lot in the last few years. Whether something will change in the next few years or so is unclear. Just keep on doing what you enjoy the most. Having between 20-30 viewers on Twitch regularly is actually really good compared to most channels out there!
