I can't imagine American legal professionals are impressed with the non stop attacks on the judicial branch and complete disregard for the rule of law.
They might be able to rescind memberships, but thereβs no requirement to join the ABA (not all lawyers do) so itβs not much of a threat. I donβt know about the accreditation policies, but it seems unlikely to me that a school would be punished for the actions of its former students.
I was under the impression that law schools that valued their reputation and history would be not want to be associated with producing the most unethical, lawbreakers lawyers that Trump can find.
He scrapes the bottom of the barrel
The licensing bodies are the state Bars. Those are under the supervision of each state's Supreme Court. We lawyers are a private part of each state's judiciary. As the saying goes, when involved in litigation, we are "officers of the court." We have duties to the tribunal and not just our clients.
Removing AG: Impeachment by the House ~ unlikely
Voluntarily resign ~ unlikely
President has authority to appoint a new AG ~ unlikely
Judicial Removal ~ a legal case filed against AG for removal Case brought before a court, determines if allegations have merit ~ relatively rare
She is just doing trumps bidding. if not her, it would be someone else. I don't know why Bove wasn't; appointed? Why bother going through these motions? Everything Trump has been doing is illegal it seems. And, all he does is lie. Somethings never change.
Don't write off the firing/quitting. Trump is a terrible person with no allegiance at all. The second you are no longer useful or cross him, dead to him.
Agreed! It seems none of these schmucks are self-aware enough to realize this. No matter how hard they try, these circumstances will catch up to them, & Dear Leader will axe them on TV or social media.
I do not disagree with you, but right now, she is doing exactly what he wants her to do. Hence, removing her is unlikely. But she would be replaced with another to do his bidding.
I told my friend last night how the AG appt should be moved out of Executive powers and maybe congress agrees to a short list that potus then gets to choose from.

My point was that the ABA can't just disbar her.
