What else would anyone expect from an Apartheid era South African of Nazi descent? His salute is not surprising to anyone who has the ability to read, watch, and comprehend.
Past time for otherwise nonviolent people to begin considering learning how to defend themselves. It’s a skill that will be necessary in the near future. I’m not a nonviolent person. Started my journey long before 2016. It feels good to be able to at least fight back, however that may mean.
I see what you mean. I guess us Europeans have a bit of a different view, we still remember Nazi Germany and all the heinous killing and molestations... And now the German party AfD has over 20% support, and Italy has Meloni who loves 🟠🤡, and wants to work closely with him ++
I heard the stories from my daddy, uncles and cousins who fought in WWII. I remember them well. Sadly, we have too many in the US who deny the Holocaust happened. No amount of evidence will ever make them understand how evil that time was.
Oh, I am truly sorry for you all...the fascists who try to deny holocaust here, are being drowned with evidence and pictures... But, they do exist here too unfortunately 😞
I’m a born German and now American citizen. To see that man using that salute is very scary. Now they can openly show what they are really about. The boldness and confidence is breathtaking. This cannot happen again!
Yes I heard how he used the tragic Christmas market attack to their advantage. He praised Alice Weidel as the only one, that can save Germany. He also did something similar in England. That man is so disturbed in his brain, what makes him very dangerous!
I know, and I feel that Americans downplay how dangerous that is - you can't flirt with European Nazis... The history is too close and we still haven't forgotten or healed...
Americans are very uninformed about history, their own and world history. You only can understand what’s going on right now, if you understand what happened in the past. The connection of certain countries, their philosophies and goals, their animosity towards each other and their shared tragedies.
You're so right - unfortunately 😞 And, as a Norwegian historian it breaks my heart to see all the ignorance and denials that seems to grow faster than anything 🥺🤦🏼♀️
