This can be quite a contentious issue, especially since those who need access to cooling/heating are most likely those who would feel the need to forgo this basic need just to make some money. Further, what prevents ERCOT to disproportionately curtain access to disparate regions.
Definitely not, especially since they can’t guarantee we have power in extreme weather conditions. Families shouldn’t be having the burden when bitcoin mining gets unrestricted access to power.
