Visa application?? Since when did we need to apply for visas to travel to the U.S.? I guess we do now. Not that any sane Canadian wants to travel there right now. If you do, don’t come crying asking for the federal government to intervene if you find yourself detained.

That would be the standard procedure, with the least amount of work for them. In other words, they are being intentionally cruel, if you ask me.

If you travel to US - esp on a visa - KNOW the regulations - they are all being enforced.

My understanding is that CBP officers have many tools at disposal, are choosing ICE detention more often.

Maybe because boss needs data to prove his ideas? The private detention centres need to collect fees?

It feels like a hostage-taking; the way 🍊's idols in Russia and North Korea grab citizens of other countries and hold them to coerce a deal or exchange.

Simple solution. Don’t enter the US for any reason. Try not to give American business any $’s from any Canadian at any time. There’s lots to see and do in Canada. Lots of 🇨🇦, European, Asian products to buy. Lots of other countries to holiday in - OMG, even Canada FAFO🍁🇨🇦🇺🇦🌻

A stay longer than 30 days will require all Canadians to get a visa to be there while making all other foreign nationals visiting the “U”S to do that as well but on top of that get finger printed too.

A fact checker on a previous post points out:
she entered overland from a 3rd country, for a work visa that was already once denied.
This is normal US procedure in this instance.
It's just headlines bc it's white people now
