This is a paper in crisis; you can see most of the top reporters are phoning it in and really not trying anymore. I suspect their energies are directed toward job hunting.

When your owner is publicly humiliated by the incoming president and the CEO seems to do things under the table, and at a time when the incoming president wants to sue news orgs for reporting on him, I’d imagine the pitch for an incoming editor has to be perfect. Not worth it for many.
