Positions not found in Carney’s cabinet include those responsible for issues regarding women and gender equality and youth (WAGE), diversity, persons with disabilities and seniors, among others.

BUT perhaps he'll do something different now officially elected?!

How do we even combat that? I mean, the UK used to be more progressive than the US, but this past decade, they seem neck-and-neck. And Biden won in 2020, but we saw what happened in to the US in just 4 years. Y’all are safe for now. How will you maintain it?

Exactly. In general, a vote for the liberals is a harm reduction vote. I do think Carney will protect us from the external threat which must take precedence because nothing would be worse for minorities than our country being absorbed by the US, especially under Trump

Also disappointing is the number of BIPOC people voting Conservative. At least in Canada, that's quite significant and I think correlates to tightly held traditional religious mindsets.

You hit the nail on the head with rampant racism in the Conservative party. However, don't get too disappointed. Carney has a way of winning when it's needed. Our biggest problem is the premier of Alberta whose long list of grievances has placed her opposition to Carney's plan for a united Canada.
