I don't hate much human creativity, but I DO hate Stephen Sondheim. Who thought it would be a good idea to let a guy take all the tunes away from musicals, of all things?

Grab a piano, and play it....preferably with a few singers alongside. Sondheim has to be live to get it. (Weird and Wonderful)

Sondheim's the answer to the question "what if Mahler wrote musicals?" It asks something different from an audience than e.g. "Oklahoma."
There's no defending James Corden in the "Into The Woods" film, but you can't blame Sondheim for that.

& I have musical theater people in the family. Sondheim is huge with them.
