Because we’d never get unanimous agreement from EU member states & the electorate would not accept losing the £.

In the referendum, most net contributors to the UK economy voted against Brexit, so tax increases would be immoral.
The British people voted for economic hardship and isolation - and that’s what they got - that’s Democracy.
I left UK and will never return.
We were consistently told that one Parliament could not bind another. McSweeney’s Labour could use the various machines for manufacturing consent to get closer to the EU rather than current societal destruction
Choosing to live up to its principles rather than flogging a dead and stinking horse should not be a ‘hard decision’.
They said they won’t promise anything they can’t deliver.

1) the EU would be mad to accept us back whilst the opposition is dedicated to just leaving again
2) we’d never get a unanimous vote from member states
3) we’d have to agree to take the €, which would result in Tory/reform winning the next GE &
4) it would take 5+ years
