i got discouraged easily when three people subbed to my substar but one pulled out leaving me with only 2 and on substar I need to make at least $150 monthly before I can even get the money sent to me so I'm wondering if I just chose a bad platform.

it's nuked nsfw artists over arbitrary rules like deciding a piece was noncon and not allowed even though the creator said it was otherwise, and so on. It also feels like it's on thin ice as it pertains to nsfw content for time being so i'm not really sure anymore ;;

If you can swing it I suggest doing both. If Patreon does shut you down at least you’ll still have the other site! Other than that all I can say is to just keep posting. The more stuff you have there the more incentive there is to subscribe to you!
