Maybe I'm not sufficiently attuned to popular sentiment, but I don't think the effort by Trump et al to rewrite what happened on J6 has been "hugely successful." I think even most Trump supporters acknowledge what it was, but simply don't care. Just like they know who Trump really is/don't care.
