I think ALL THE TIME about how things ~might~ have gone differently if more US journos had spoken plainly before, during, & after Trump 1.0 rather than tip-towing around out of fear or whatever.

It was infuriating how so many journalists just wanted to focus on the horse race, as if trump and Harris were both just normal politicians. So disgusting when so many people’s actual lives were in the balance. I will never listen to them again.

Yes, I have a couple I trust, but only a couple. When I pleaded with one nationally known journalist to remember people’s live were at stake in the election, she attacked me for being naive and told me to go find a left-wing outlet to listen to/read. 🤬

I’m sorry 💔 It can be very discouraging (to put it mildly) to find some chaff in our wheat. I’ve learned to be more careful & accept that I’ll probably make mistakes. And to be gentle with myself when I do, & just put it in my rear view mirror & keep moving forward.
