I watched this at Christmas and was quite taken aback at how uncharismatic and bland Fashanu was. There's a bit where he tells an incredibly boring anecdote which goes on for ages. I just assumed a former member of the Crazy Gang with "Awooga" as his catchphrase would be a fun guy.

Wanted to joke about how the Gladiator who got sacked for taking steroids (Shadow) wouldn't want to be in the Olympics but couldn't remember which one it was so googled & turns out one of the new Gladiators got outed as promoting steroid use in the past. The reboot truly respecting the original. 🫡
