Dead #Hedge using fallen #Oak branches / brash.
When I make dead hedges I lie the branches towards the South on N-S Hedge lines.

I may be wrong but my idea is that some light can get in (whereas I try to lay living hedges towards the North to encourage the re-growth upwards).
