I am in complete agreement with this and have predicted it coming for a long time, but nobody in a position of power seemed concerned enough to do anything about it.
but when the (actual) President has to talk about repugs having a knife at the throat of democracy, it makes me think the notion of fear is more reality based than not.

after the fall of the communist wall. Trump capably demonstrated (though ineptly implemented) that when all three chambers of government are under control by a party with an utter disregard for the rule of law and an understanding /3
that the courts can be used to run out the clock, there is effectively nothing to stop them from co-opting any of the resources under the control of the federal government that they wish. If given a second chance, they will have already studied and improved the gameplan to do so. /4

I have grave concerns about what might happen if the repugs retake control of congress and heaven forbid, the Presidency.
