Uh, wrong. C-130 costs between $10,000 - $15,000 and hour to operate and the C-17 is about $25,000 an hour. A charter aircraft is about $20,000 an hour. MSNBC has their facts wrong.

If you disagree I can show you the DLA WCF (Def Logistics Agency Working Capitol Fund) numbers to back this up. Apparently MSNBC is too stupid to actually verify numbers before airing them. I’m retired military and knew where to find the correct numbers.

I'd have to imagine that it's a lot less comfortable for everyone involved to put people into the hold of a C-130 than to just put them on a chartered conventional plane, but it's about getting one last chance in to abuse people.
