While we’re on the topic of First Strike, can we talk about Last Strike? I know you have said it’s not worth it to implement it into the rules but is there a similar work around where you could give blocking creatures first strike?

Yeah. Maybe something like “creatures blocking or blocked by ~ have first strike until end of combat.

Actually, we're both wrong, this creature would need to have Double Strike, otherwise it wouldnt deal damage on the second step.

I don’t think that’s what we’re trying to do though. If I have Extremely Slow Zombie and you block with Hill Giant then the Hill Giant will do his dmg during the regular combat step and kill the zombie.

So if a creature gives another creature first strike then that’s the same as above. All we are trying to do is make the creature deal its damage second.

This is a really cool ability, would love to see what it'd be priced like in modern day limited. Maybe 2R for a 3/2?
