October 20th was the anniversary of the best game ever made, Xenogears. I am still talking about this game 20-something years later. It’s a complex sci-fi JRPG full of all the things I love: mechs, philosophy, psychology. I’ve never played another game like it.

Loved everything else about it.

I am really enjoying it though! I like to see how Fei is starting to bond with some of these other characters.
Do you think I should just bite the bullet and play? Everything about it seems directly up my alley!
And I don’t wanna put off playing a potential masterpiece solely on false hope. I’ll move it up my priority list and hopefully get to it by the end of the year!
SE wouldnt handle it well at all, considering... everything that was cut/left out/mentioned in PW & how inseparable it is from it's creators.
Started out early on as ep4 w/ a plan for an ep5 sequel; were told to put both eps together into one game. Wanted to explore ep1-5 in different mediums, but ended up having to fit references to all other eps into the one game and later the lore book.
Perfect Works expanded much more on all eps, especially 4. You can tell that ep4 was definitely made to be a game. Very likely ep3 would've been a manga or anime considering it's story/setting, etc
To my shame I still have not played the full game.
I hope it and the Xenosaga trilogy get remade
