Unless the size of our city changes overnight, nothing we can do. Fans are happy with the front office, Rod, and rest of the team. Culture is great & tbh went south when MK arrived. Guess egos like his need a bigger city to fit in.

Well sure Raleigh's not huge, but I've been to both Raleigh and Dallas, and I'd sure rather live in NC. I'm not so sure it's that? I guess it could be. I wonder more about Dundon's reputation for being a little odd around the margins and whether it impacts things for players.

Glad you like it here! ☺️ The consensus among fans here is that this isn’t on Duncan or Tulsky. Reeks of MK & his agent, tbh. MK didn’t seem to want to play when he took the ice & our team kinda lots it’s mojo when he arrived. We are better off.

Yeah Raleigh is super nice, and I like Tulsky and Rod. It just seems to be a pattern that they can't quite get big fish to commit longterm, so I wonder what the gap is. Is Dundon well-liked? Seems polarizing, but I don't really know.

This made me giggle bc out local sports radio was telling us to get ready for this narrative if MK didn’t sign. The “Canes can’t keep big stars around” is based on perception, not reality. Dundon isn’t like a rock star but he is learning & improving. Tulsky = big fan.

Yeah, the tax thing might even it out, but it’s clear he didn’t prefer Dallas purely for maximizing $$. Dundon is weird about stuff and I wonder if the Canes cheap out on peripheral things on a way that rubs some people the wrong way.

I don't really know what the actual cause is. But I don't think it should be such a struggle. NC state income taxes are still fairly low, and their cup window is wide open. It's odd.
