I think this true. More so it is a very widely held opinion that surely the Mavs are aware of. Therefore they are either extremely bad at their jobs or they know something that we don’t. Not sure which side of that to come down on.

Well these are all knee jerk reactions. Mavs management likely were continuously engaged in numerous discussions with Luka re his conditioning and his personal commitment to do what needed to be done to not only return but return in better shape so not to aggravate the injury further.
