I am not an expert when it comes to oxphos, but I am very curious about this: You say this is sufficient to form ATP via using up the pmf, but the setup has about zero ATP at the start, right?
At which ATP concentration would the FoF1 apparatus just start pumping H+?
Still, is ATP then at 0? I would somehow think that at first just maintaining pmf for other functions is already a big deal.
But please correct me, if I am wrong!
