I love Linux, but I switched to MacOS for my main after using Linux for 10+ years. It was a death by a thousand cuts! I bought a printer that had ample Linux support WITH drivers and it still wouldn’t work.
you're on bluesky. you're an ideal person to tell about alternatives to things. you could try Linux with the KDE desktop environment. there are distros with it preinstalled like kubunu
Ubuntu is ideal. I've tried other stuff and keep coming back to it. I'm not excited to install every package known to man or wrestle with networking drivers. It tends to just work and have everything.
