The first Italian translation of the Georgics is in a crazy book where, within a frame story, Virgil appears & narrates the poem in Italian to the characters. I’ve just discovered that in the 2nd Latin ed of Galen, the editor claims to have been visited by Galen himself, who provided a Latin ms.
