I was real confused for a second but, this is an amazing response to that type of non-sensical hypercritisizing 😆 what a funny contrast to the full reconstructions of organisms from such scant material. Love it.
Honestly this stemmed from me seeing a comment on a Hatzegopteryx illustration along the lines of "Your Hatzegopteryx has the wrong crest shape" and I found that so funny because we have like 5 bones from this thing
It's so common to see! Wildly overconfident assertions about fragmentary animals. I notice it most often with the big charismatic ones (surprise, surprise)
