Before the show I got to see and photograph MSI’s new Titan gaming laptop in its outlandish Dragon Edition incarnation. They didn’t give a price but the regular Titan costs $5,000+ 😭

Another early preview I got was for Asus’s new ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet, which I got to test out for a couple days on a preproduction model. The Flow remains very niche but is showing some promise with the new Strix Halo APU.

It’s looking promising as long as graphics power is your priority over battery life. Which tracks with the Strix Point models.

As a developer in general I care about perf above battery but do occasionally need 5+ hours of battery. I swear I'd seen that the CPU perf went down when on battery to reduce power draw but still had similar stats to Intel while on battery.

Also from Asus, its new Zenbook A14 is insanely light (a colleague and I were each able to lift it with just three fingers). I’m just a little concerned about its lower-powered Snapdragon X… 😬

Then there’s what ended up being my highlight of the show, Lenovo’s ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 laptop with a rollable display. $3,500 is a lot for a productivity / business laptop, but having a screen that GROWS from 14” to 16.7” is just so slick
