Speaking of hunting things down, we were also in search of a Nvidia RTX 5090 GPU that we could actually play… and at first the best we could do is track down some partner cards that I could hold (like this one from MSI).

But I had another fun hands-on, getting a hold of Acer’s big boy handheld, the Nitro Blaze 11, and taking pics of it side-by-side with a Steam Deck OLED. It’s a beast, but it looks cool for someone that wants the biggest PC handheld for around-the-house use
I also had a fun hands-on with a ridiculous (yet charming) Asus laptop that dispenses essential oil fragrances as it runs warmer. Don’t knock it till you’ve smelled it — though it’s only available in China
And to cap off my CES coverage I made a short list of the laptops I’m most excited to test when they launch this year. I’m super stoked to review these when the time comes.
I simply COULD NOT have asked for a better first CES. I credit much of it to the talent, support, and guidance of my amazing colleagues. They helped me with advice, insight, and calming my nerves. It was also an honor to return the favor with photo coverage or whatever else I could offer in return
