“Fuck you Facebook” was the first thought I had 7 or 8 years ago when they liberally let teenagers absorb themselves in suicide and self-harm content… and then used their programmatic algorithms to promote more & more of the same content.

They’ve been scummy for a long long time. Horrible company.

This isn’t the best interpretation of what happened to the Roman Empire. Migrations in Eurasia, climate change, and internal military struggles were all plausible causes. Personal decadence and corruption at the top leading to loss of personal confidence in the emperor is more Gibbon and Gladiator.
