yeah, the original idea with the android mining colony was very good, but also incredibly impractical to make on near zero budget.
since puppy truck is pretty explicitly a toy now it just made more sense to lean more into puppy while still retaining the truck tires. hope it's not too disappointing
yeah, I've got a flat spring right now I'm just spreading out a non-twisting rotation towards at the moment. I think it could get appropriately twangy if I tweak the parameters a bit
Oh sure but I mean, visually, right now it's still antenna-style. If you give that up and embrace the toy angle, you can make the tail look more obviously like a spring, and the whole thing will vibe way harder. You see the tail a LOT, so making it spark joy would really get you somewhere.
Model looks great. But I would try messing with the material for the fur so it looks fur-yier. not like a hair simulation or anything crazy like that, but more so something like a normal map, something to make it look less smooth and plasticy, unless that is what you are going for

Guessing this is part of that gradual correction toward toys, away from machine graveyard?

About all I'd suggest is lean in harder and make the tail work like the slinky dog's tail in Toy Story did, heh.
