I’ve requested my music be removed from Spotify—only Spotify. It will still be available on all other streaming platforms.
I no longer care how popular Spotify is. It’s an evil company with deeply artist-unfriendly policies I refuse to stand by.
The best way to support my music is on #Bandcamp.

However it might be a bit off-putting to Spotify listeners.
Here is the first single from my upcoming album. I hope you enjoy it!

And well, for now I‘ll just be off Spotify and hopefully Amazon Music. I mean, it’s kind of a good thing that streaming makes music accessible. And streaming comes in handy sometimes.
Just not Spotify. I‘m done with them.
Will listen to your EP! 😃
Here’s my Bandcamp:

However, Alison played cello on Summer Morning so you might want to listen to that one. 😉
Just followed you on BC! I'm trying to build followers and once I do, I will add much more of my catalogue.
Will listen to some of your tunes! :)
Deezer artists get royalties from the first stream. However, they did introduce a 1000 stream cap meaning that artists don’t get paid when a track reaches more than 1000 streams per month if it’s the same listener. They do this…👇
So apparently they are not on the bad side after all.
Which platforms are the “good” column?
I’m not against streaming in general, and I love adding my indie peers’ tracks to playlists on other platforms.
But with Spotify, I’m done.
As you might already know, I removed mine from Spotify quite some time ago. I’ve never regretted it. It’s what I feel was right.
And you’re right. Everything else just feels wrong.
But sometimes I do make playlists on Deezer for travelling and then I’m glad if I find some indie music there that I can include.
None of this makes me a better person btw. It feels more like waking up.
And that's the problem, I'd much rather buy local, but there are so many times it just isn't possible.
And yet with the current situation I can no longer buy there in good conscience.
