That's a shame. It might be more rooted in reality than traditional grades - see Foucault. I'm a big fan of teaching kids to write well - did it for decades - but government turning creatives outcomes into quantifiable data worries me. Gove tried to reduce it to a grammar and punctuation tick-list.

No worries. If you're interested in the datafication of learning, have a look at what people like Stephen Ball and Alice Bradbury have said on the subject. Bringing creativity into the neoliberal reach is fraught with dangers.
