Many won't remember the significance of today, but 5 years ago a man became ill in Wuhan. He was the first case of what we would later come to know as COVID-19.

In August 2019, I ordered a package from Wuhan, the vendor kept delaying sending it saying everyone was sick with a strange flu. Covid was circulating much earlier than was publicly told.
My son became visibly ill on 1 Jan 2020, whilst on holiday in Brazil. In the summer that year, blood test ( Abbott), indicated positive for Covid antibodies. He didn’t even have a mild cold after that “illness” in Jan and that summer.
Thinking about that earlier. Have we learned anything as a society from the experience. I know science has advanced, but have we? We don't seem to appreciate the ongoing fall-out on many families.
