also the FPTP will be able to focus on LIB vs CON and not split the vote anymore. As there are more progressives than hate mongers this could result in a long reign of Liberal governments based in part w/ their progressive NDP appeal. Cons will need NDP to split the vote to win again

IIRC He never actually tore it up. He said he would under Trudeau, and backed off when Carney came in. Carney called an election before they had a chance to nonconfidence vote; Right move IMO: Carney needs a mandate and a seat.

I've been lifelong NDP/Green. I support Carney, but my riding is NDP 🤔
