I’m confused by Brexiteers; they say they wanted to ‘take back control’

But I have never once heard any of the lead Brexiteers saying ANYTHING about taking back control of:
1. Our newspapers (from Murdoch etc)
2. Our formerly nationalised companies, now owned outside the UK (trains, water etc.)
