I have increased my federal withholding on my paycheck by a lot! I’ll be lucky if I pay anything in federal taxes this year because I’m taking all the money from Fed taxes, moving into retirement account.
I say on April 15 we all refuse to submit our tax returns or pay any tax owed. Until musk is gone, all govt agencies and funds are restored, and the GOP supports an impeachment.
Agree 💯 percent. I don’t plan on paying my federal taxes. Not sure it’s safe to admit that, but I don’t want my hard-earned money going directly into robber barons’ pockets.
Worse than that. After the tax breaks, the savings goes to his Sovereign Wealth Fund that Trump controls. Watch as basic government services are privatized and Trump lets no-bid contracts to Space X, Amazon, Meta, Palantir, and the oil companies.
I have been asking that tax paying question ever since Russia elected Trump, again! Why are we paying Federal taxes! Makes me want to stop paying taxes until someone gets the office who truly cares about America's safety, not someone who only cares about making Americans suffer.
Or, our blue states (if that’s where one lives) should take that money and use it to develop grants, institutes of health, robust environmental protections and standing military
I completely agree! I pay estimated taxes since I'm retired. But I am not forced to. If I and a few hundred thousand of us do not pay any estimated taxes we will of course face penalties for underpayment but frankly who cares? The deficit & inflation will soar along with interest rates. A win for me
