Aww I love this!

My top advice (if they want it) is that while patterns can be a great way to learn stitches & to get started, try to do some pointless ‘doodling’ with thread as well. I’ve always had a hoop for that & it’s a nice way to play without constraints.

Thank you! Hard to tell how long because it was over several months & in the midst of covid recovery.

Woven wheels were already a favorite before I made this & I continued to love them. French knots were an unexpected fave - i‘d never liked them before!

I love the look of French knots but they take so, so long. I did a Homer Simpson cross stitch/embroidery hybrid a while back and I actually shrank down the size of the piece because I was so tired of them by the end there.
