We know from Lebanon that Israel will violate the truce. That should just be factored into the negotiations. The ceasefire deal we’ve been hearing about is still worthwhile from Hamas’ perspective as the alternative is likely to declare negotiations a failure and impose annexation of “buffer zones.”
