Think you need a reality check. Our local Trust is £26m ‘overspent’ ,cutting staff even tho short staffed, closing beds down while there are long lines of trolleys with patient stretching along the corridors and severe problems trying to discharge patients due to lack of social care

I hope you can succeed with this. Broadly I believe your ethos is correct. The one bit that is missing so far is looking at reform of the health economics of the NHS. Recently even Paul Johnson of the IFS said he couldn’t understand it. This makes it rife for inefficiency and corruption.

About two years ago, our GP surgery stopped patients from ringing up to make appointments and made us do it online, on a form with insufficient options. Recently, they took the appointment requests offline for a day, too. It was back next day but I have a 5 week+ wait for an appointment.

My daughter is currently in Worthing Hospital, W.Sx . After failed appointments, cancelled scans & operations. She is now awaiting a further operation on what should have been a fairly straightforward procedure. The wastage on not carrying out procedures on time causes distress to all.What say you ?
