I mean, the process she’s setup is an extremely broad “street safety review” with no public meetings, where the cyclists/pedestrians only get a form email response and the neighborhood associations and “key stakeholders” get private one on one sessions.

I mean, we’ll see! She already removed a bus lane. If they wanted to assuage the fears of those who have fought for years for these improvements a good first step would be BTD, the Mayor’s office, the councilors, and the liaisons not completely blowing off those trying to make their voices heard.

I am not necessarily a fan of this, I think the Boston metro is facing some fairly serious issues around transit we're going to have to solve, and fast, but unfortunately Boston the municipality is only one piece of that.

Admittedly I am no expert but what I found was everybody wants bike lanes in THEIR neighborhood, and are annoyed by them elsewhere. But not enough to sway their vote for mayor.
