I just called both of my senator’s offices and my house representative office to express concerns about *gestures broadly at everything* and I am so proud of myself!

I called and spoke with staff. I'll continue to call. Overall a good experience. All my Reps and Senators are Democrat.

I’m so sorry - a lot do use form letters b/c of the volume, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t matter. I still used it for ideas for action. As for not taking calls or responding at all, I hadn’t heard of that. I would keep writing, but join those organizing to elect someone else.

Yeah at this point I'm debating trying to physically go to their offices, but the one here is in the federal building downtown so I'm not sure if that's even doable

Their office should be accessible in DC or in a district. People used to come to our offices (DC and Maine) all the time.

2/2 It’s esp powerful when there’s a high volume, but even if not, if it was a salient issue, we would call hearings… organize briefings… write letters demanding agency action… pursue legislation and/or appropriations… any manner or actions.

Everybody that hasn't drunk the Kool Aid should call and yell about us turning our backs on Canada, Europe, and Ukraine and sidling up to a murderous invading dictator thug. Remind these elected officials they swore an oath to the Constitution. This is a 5-alarm fire. All hands on deck!
