It sounds like he needs a vacation.
In sunny California.
With me.
I won’t spray/wipe the kitchen table in his presence.
For him, I’ll never spray/wipe it again.
And I promise to give him back.
Eventually.
🤞
Mine is still Aggrieved because I opened a tin of tuna to make some tuna mac yesterday and she only got a tiny bit of it as a treat instead of the entire thing.
I drained off the "tuna juice" for the boys and now every time anyone opens a can of anything they both come running! I had to let them sniff an empty can of corn the other day just to maintain the peace.
I absolutely love that this cat's development I've been following through your posting is: feral wildman --> timid scaredboy --> cuddly lovemonster --> spoiled royalty
I showed my husband this photo of Adonis and he asked me how you got him. I realized I didn't know, so I've spent the last hour reading your old posts looking for Adonis' origin story. Now I'm literally weeping over your loss of Austin and every cat I've lost and every pet mourned by the people...
...who posted about Austin and thinking how lucky Adonis is that Lars Marzipan wasn't the right cat for you. The pain of losing the best cat ever is bearable when you can love another best cat ever. I will be giving my own best cat ever extra snuggles today.
Im sorry to say that I didn’t know that essential oils can be toxic to cats - even small doses — because they lack the liver enzymes needed to metabolize them leading to toxicity (eucalyptus, pine, mint, citrus even lavender)
I don’t think cats care about cleanliness in the same way we do.
They’re trying to get rid of certain smells to be better predators.
We’re trying to remove dirt and pathogens (typically with scented products).
They also are descendants of critters who lived in the desert & figured out a way to clean themselves that didn’t require much water. Our spraying stinky liquid everywhere and even willingly standing under running water (ewwww!!!!!) is inefficient & bizarre by comparison.
Omfg. I just realized why I love Adonis so much. He is the purrfect living embodiment of Renaissance oil paintings of cats in the best complementary way

Dumb question, has anyone checked for mites?
Shame! Shame! on you.

How's he doing? Looks good & healthy now. 😃🙂‼️🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷‼️
Are we sure he’s not some guy who was cursed into a cat’s body by a spooky forest witch?
Big, wonderful boy.
😻💕💕💕
Did you even bother to ASK how I felt about it?!?
Treats NOW servile human!!!

I made the horrible mistake of removing a dingleberry (the horror!) and this diva won’t even look at me now. It’s been several hours 😹
…how dare.
Soft and cuddly and perfect.
