Great question! (Although I know you know the answer already!). The skills required have changed quite a bit but the basics are still the same. The 737-200 felt like driving an old, classic car whereas the A350 is like driving a Tesla in comparison. Both lots of fun but the 737-200 made me smile😄

The 737-200 reminds me of package holidays as a child in the 70s flying with the likes of Britannia, Dan Air or Orion (anyone remember them?) Always used to visit the flight deck in flight.

Ik that you're a real pilot so I wont exactly denying that 737-200 is more pain to fly than an A350, but I still prefer the 737 for that classic look. and the classic panel. Maybe I'm a biased flight sim guy who mainly fly old airliners.

maybe cuz of the pointy nose the 737 has? idk why but not really a fan of Airbus craft and more modern Boeing planes in general in terms of looks.

Great to be able to follow you on here Dave. The A350 is indeed a very photogenic aircraft and one that we are yet to fly on! We’ll need to rectify that in 2025. Lots of good memories of standing on the piers in Manchester spotting those early 737’s in the early / mid 1980’s.
