teams don’t usually trade decent players with good contracts. So by definition it’s bad for a reason. Doesn’t mean it isn’t worth trading for, it’s also not a statement on the quality of player.
Bad’s his word not mine. If we want to trade for a big contract, that’s great! But teams generally don’t move good players with big contracts because the point of winning football games is retaining good players while they are good.
