One of the main issues is that even amongst animation enthusiasts they see all animation as “for kids”. I remember seeing someone accuse the creator of hazbin hotel of corrupting children even though her show is in no way for children.

I’ve been seeing a few artists in the animation industry kind of start to go “fuck it” and have been seeing them posting either spicy pin ups or just flat out lewd fan art of stuff like Arcane on main because a lot of them just aren’t getting industry work right now due to behind the scenes BS.

A bunch of mainstream animation people have kinda started more openly tipping their toes into the NSFW art and animation scene because there’s hardly any industry jobs right now and Disney is just flat fake job postings on their website to make investors think they’re growing as a company.

Well, I have seen artists like Jeetdoh and Umiko-Sasaki either stop drawing that stuff or leave the entire kink space of the net to pursue those jobs. Put two and two together and you'd probably see that society views kink stuff as that "taboo". I want that sort of view to be challenged.

What I mean is that artists that start off in NSFW and kink spaces usually have to abandon their accounts or delete everything if they want to be in professional circles, even if their accounts are separate and are made for adults only. I see this sort of thing happen frequently.

Without a place to express those NSFW and kink thoughts, it would lead to psychological stress. Repressing this sort of thing is not healthy. As long as we make sure to make these spaces 18+ and to use content filters on websites, people should be allowed to express themselves for who they are.
