I think there's a scifi story from the golden era where the tension is built on whether can heroes punch holes to computer cards fast enough or not ... also, some classic spy stories rely vast slower change of information than what we see today.

Oh man it’s so great in the reboot series when Mulder tries to take a cell phone picture of the monster and because he’s a buffoon completely dorks it up.
Ok but hear me out : Mulder consistently taking shitty blurry pictures and having the phone abilities of a boomer, to the point that its a given that the daming video of bigfoot was taken with front facing camera and its just him panting and forest sounds
