Every time I see a post about #immigration without fail, someone will throw in the 'sPeNd ThAt MoNeY oN hOmElEsS vEtS.' as if we suddenly got to the #homelessVets and we're like 'oh shit! My bad, totally ran out of money, my dude. 🤷♀️'

We have plenty of money in this country to house not only the homeless vets,but homeless people, period, we just choose not to.
As a society we decided that the homeless are homeless because of their personal failures or shortcomings
And absolve ourselves of any responsibility to understand or help what created homelessness.
Then there is the shit ton of #churches that are empty 4-6 days a week while people suffer on the streets.
