And I would not have even been that irritated to try to help if she hadn't also been ready to bite my head off the entire time. If I hadn't had to twice state an expectation for mutual calmness as we worked through it. If my fingers hadn't been a little twitchy at the end of the call.

If I hadn't had to do some form of verbal de-escalation on every other call I've taken this week, none of which involved anyone bleeding or on fire, and it's near COB Tuesday.
