The reason why I’m not overly worried about Hungary and Slovakia is that both are small countries entirely dependent on the EU for many things, most of all for their relative power.

Finland did reprimand Hungary during its EU presidency. It was written off as some kind of a Finno-Ugric spat.
I don't understand why they are let so loose, it makes EU look weak, which is problematic during times of geopolitical struggles.
Hungary is too far gone, I'm afraid.
The stalling is obvs annoying but can be dealt with.
It clashes with western tactics where you go in with good faith and a draft for which both parties will equally benefit.
The fact that we tolerate this at all has a corrosive influence on the union because everyone - members and non-members - can see that we aren't living up to our core principles.
