Bluesky can be more than just a platform for conversation—it can be a launchpad for action. Together, we can transform ideas into movements, voices into policies, and dreams into reality.

Will start by identifying one person as a point of contact in every County in the Country.
The person is not an elected official.
The person is a citizen that cares about people.
I will make a list of every county in Colorado.
Then that person ifentifies one person per County and pins the list to the profile
People can choose who to follow so they can identify local redources and local issues
Reddit can defo be of some use too, though it has flaws.
Im also looking forward to Skylight social and other such alternatives.
It would make BlueSky the go-to for communications and organizing.
“you need an app designer that will make an add-on if you want that. Bluesky is open source and by design people can build add-on apps. They just deal with the core platform.”
Is this true?
Now below is what I’m thinking. What you’re proposing can work as well. The various organizations can have their own Sphere for political activism.
My issues with influencers at the moment, and even accounts with large followers, from what I’ve seen, they tend to focus on discussing the problems, but I rarely hear them offering solutions.
They need to change their mindset.
The second person blocked me so I can’t find the conversation, but I remember him saying something along the lines of Bluesky selling our data to the government. Or, like you mentioned, it could’ve been a trust issue.
I think including some integration inside these groups with zoom and https://meetup.com would also be great.
Who would you choose?
But I'd choose Wilt Chamberlain & Jerry West. West the only player on a losing side to win MVP https://youtu.be/FGK4mj5M3Dk?si=h4DKLCQcXFJ4hEIn
I count myself as very lucky to have seen a few of the greatest players and teams of all time.
I hope you enjoy that video on West. He was the guy they used as a model for the NBA's logo. :)
To me greatness comes from how you impact others around you in positive ways.
As a pure Lakerdom in the veins, it's gotta be West and then Kobe.
Best players while on Lakers: I'd say Kareem, Kobe, West, Magic, Lebron, Shaq, Wilt
(Lebron and Wilt much higher on that list for GOAT, but not for their time on Lakers.)
I am always humbled somehow by the story of how they had to change the rules because of Wilt so nobody can do a slamdunk freethrow. He would run & jump from the freethrow line and slamdunk! lol
My fave Wilt stats:
* 48.5 mins/game in 1961-62.
* Only player who was a season leader in pts, rebs & assists (even if not in same year).

The real story : )
(I could only read the article by using this, fwiw: https://12ft.io/)
I really hope the team decides to implement Spheres. In the meantime I'll press on finding local feeds, orgs etc.
