Part of the reason I really like this platform, and am advocating for it, is that civility and decency and intelligent debate usually prevails. That doesn’t mean everyone being in furious agreement. It means having respect. If you want to be abusive, go back to X. They love it there.

I’m used to it on any platform though
I’m also looking at longer-form stuff (which suits my predilections) over on Substack.
I barely go back ‘there’ 🙄 anymore.

Me: Are you seriously saying "abc"?
Person: No, I meant "xyz".
Me: My apologies, I misunderstood you.
Person: That's okay. I didn't express myself clearly; too fired up about this topic.
Have had the same pattern here . Disagree and then escalated to tagging and gang bullying .
When any bloke tells me to look in the fucking mirror it’s a block .How do they speak to their partners or kids 😢?
They no doubt speak and behave much worse to their wife and kids.
