As much as I want a response, I question whether “shutting down” campuses is the right answer.

This isn’t divestment. Administrations (with the exception of Columbia) aren’t the problem, nor are state or city governments.

The problem is the federal government. Actions should be targeted at them.

I believe the student protests and strikes in my day ended the Vietnam war. It didn’t happen overnight, but they created much greater awareness and set in motion events which ultimately forced the government to respond.

I don’t disagree, but when all students mobilize, awareness follows. There is little attention to most of what is happening from the MSM, but if campuses shut down, people will become aware. It takes dramatic action to get peoples’ attention and it sends the message that these abductions must stop.

I disagree. Administration are a problem at most universities. They were targeting students long before trump and paved the way for this. E.g. none of them did shit when Canary Mission was operating with impunity on their campuses for years.
